Shirley Ellen Trippett

Shirley Ellen Trippett, 76, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Friday, June 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Shirley was born October 6, 1939 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Homer and Essie Sturgill Woods.

Shirley had worked as a counselor for several years at the Transition’s Corp. Half-Way House in Ashland. She attended the Greenup Church of God and Chinns Branch Baptist Church in Wurtland. She was involved in Nursing Home Ministries for over 27 years and had been a volunteer at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bishop Kevin Witt, JR Asbury and Hyden Cornett. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
