Beulah Polly Carver

Polly Carver, 88, of Raceland, Kentucky departed this earth Thursday January 11, 2018 at her home quietly and peacefully with her son and caregiver Rick Carver.

Mrs. Carver was born July 27, 1929 in Crum, West Virginia a daughter of the late James and Gracie Dalton Nunley.

Polly enjoyed her babies, country music to which she danced a jig to, ice ceam, and entertaining her family and friends with her quick wit and humor.

She will be greatly missed by all those that had the privilege of being her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Carver; one daughter Georgie Carver; and three brothers.

She is survived by her children Patty (Howard) Sheets of Raceland, Donald (Margaret) Carver of Flatwoods, Katherine (Ken) Roy of flatwoods, Rick (Mary) Carver of Raceland, Randall (Lee) Carver of South Shore, Debra (Paul) Sanders of Flatwoods, Linda (Ray) Tyo of Zanesville, and Marilyn (Mike) Gumbert of Raceland; Nine grandchildren Tracie Roy, Mark Roy, Mike Roy, Anthony Carver, Joe Carver, Mack Sheets, Aaron Sheets, Rebecca Tyo, Darren Tyo; eight Great grandchildren Morgan Sheets, Levi Carver, Lexi Carver, Hayden Roy, Kamryn Roy, Carson Roy, Katie Carver, Josie Brinegar, Kylie Brinegar; and six sisters Barb, Faye, Mary, Shirley, Mag, Bonnie.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Dixon Cemetery in Westwood, Kentucky by Pastor Dallas Sutton. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be made at rlrfuneralhome.com.
