Kermit Franklin Keen

Kermit Franklin Keen, 87, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Greenup.

Mr. Keen was born February 15, 1931 in Greenup, Kentucky a son of the late Frank and Bertha Strother Keen.

Kermit was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. He was a retired foreman from NorFork Southern. He was an Army veteran and served his country in the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer his entire life and loved to perform automotive work.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Joe Keen, Robert Keen, and Elby Keen; one sister Ethel Boggs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Gail Coffey Keen; one son Kermit Todd (Chelisa) Keen of Paris, Kentucky; one daughter Karla (Gary) Bartee of South Shore, Kentucky; three grandchildren Aimee Keen, Lindsay (Adam) Ervin, and Kristopher (Ami) Bartee; eight great grandchildren Nova Ervin, Tucker Ervin, Dakota Ervin, Shelby Ervin, Hemi Ervin, Kase Bartee, Remington Bartee, and Jace Keen.

Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm Monday March 19, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Jim Montgomery. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday.
