Leon Tackett

Leon Tackett, 84, of Raceland, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home.

Leon was born August 12, 1933 in Hartley, Kentucky a son of the late Arnett and Delpha Jones Tackett. He was retired from Sears where he worked in heating and air conditioning. He was a United States Korean Conflict Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deorlene Dyer Tackett of 50 years.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, March 23, 2018 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup by Bro. Rodney Vance. Military Rites will be performed by Marine Corps League Greenbo Detachment #1345. His late wife Deorlene will also be placed in the cemetery with him.

Following the graveside service a celebration of Life for Leon will be at 2:00 pm at Old Steam Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Greenup.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
