Alex Stevens Jr.

Alex Stevens Jr., 68, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Stevens was born July 18, 1950 in Ironton, Ohio a son of Maggie Morris Stevens Hammond of Flatwoods, Kentucky and the late Alex Stevens Sr. He was an ordained minister and pastor of White Oak Freewill Baptist Church in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. He worked as a security guard for Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam era.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother Roger Stevens; one sister Donna Hale; one half-brother Ken Stevens; and one half-sister Dallas Riggs.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Karen Ruth Felty Stevens

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday November 5, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Chris Bellew. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, Kentucky. Military rites will be performed by Marine Corps League Greenbo Detachment #1345. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm on Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday. Condolences may be made at rlrfuneralhome.com
