Rita Lee McConnell Lewis

Rita Lee McConnell Lewis, 71, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 28, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimers at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Lewis was born February 23, 1947 in Howell, Michigan a daughter of the late Thomas “Tom” and Virginia “Louise” Gullett McConnell.

Rita was a very humble and caring person who loved to laugh and have fun with her family. She loved reading and music but most of all watching cartoons and playing video games with her grandchildren. She didn’t get the opportunity to see just how well all of them have done but there is no doubt that she would be proud and telling them so if she could today. She loved attending church and was a member of Hunnewell Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one infant daughter Sheryl Renee Lewis; and one brother-in-law William “Bill” Sizemore.

Duell “Scott” Lewis, Samantha (Kelsie) Bellew, and Zachary “Zack” (Mollie Stewart) Horsley

And a host of nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday December 1, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Chaplin Jim Smedley. Burial will be in Lawhorn-McConnell Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday.
