Maggie Stevens Hammond

Maggie M. Stevens Hammond, 92, of Flatwoods, Kentucky went to be with the Lord and her beloved husbands, sons, and daughter on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, Flatwoods, Kentucky at her home. Maggie was born February 19, 1926 in Quincy, Kentucky a daughter of the late Harrison Morris and Pollie Traylor Morris Jordan. She was of the Christian Faith and Freewill Baptist Denomination. She was preceded in death by her first husband Alex Stevens; her second husband George Hammond; step-father William Jordan Sr.; two sons Roger Lee Stevens and Alex Stevens Jr.; one daughter Donna Gail Hale; one grandson Matthew David Hale; three brothers; seven sisters; and best friends William Leak and Ann Manis. She is survived by one son Rick Stevens of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one daughter Evelyn McDaniels of Iberia, Ohio; three pets Bungie, Bandit, and Lady Girl; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, December 7, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup. Burial will be in the Quillen Cemetery at Lynn, Kentucky.
