Mary Lou Colegrove
Mary Lou Colegrove, 74, of Danleyton, Kentucky passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Monday morning December 2, 2019.
Mary Lou was born September 18, 1945 in Danleyton, Kentucky a daughter of the late Robert J. and Minnie Tackett Frasure.
Mary Lou was a former Title 1 teacher assistant at Danleyton Elementary School, an employee of Daves Bakery and Deli and a wonderful homemaker. She had been retired for many years. She was a very creative and talented writer of songs, poetry, an avid Elvis fan, a wonderful friend to many and she never met a stranger
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Larry W. “Butch” Colegrove; three sisters, infant Wilma Jean Frasure, Esther Geneva Frasure Winters and Delpha Jewell Frasure Hutson, one brother, Howard Lee Frasure.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina (Scott) Barker of Danleyton, Kentucky, one son Larry W. Colegrove Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As well as her beloved granddaughters, Samantha (Jama) and Sabrina Kay, grandson Luke Aaron and two great grandchildren, Irah and Judd; one sister Nancy Sue Stephenson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two brothers Robert (Rosemary) Frasure of Raceland, Kentucky and Farron E. (Helen) Frasure of Ashland, Kentucky; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service will be held at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup on December 5, 2019. Burial will be in the Danleyton Cemetery.
