Bert Higgins

Bert Higgins, 88, of Lucasville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 23, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. Bert was born February 27, 1935, in Borderland, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward and Mary Williams Higgins.

Bert was retired from G.E. in Circleville, Ohio where he worked in maintenance and was United States Air Force Veteran. Bert loved to fish and ride his 4-wheeler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Higgins and a daughter Janie Herman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Charlotte Faye Dyer Higgins; a son Mitch (Diane) Higgins of Waverly, Ohio; two daughters Becky Galloway and Julie (Bill) Pekkala both of Waverly, Ohio; a grandson who he was very close to, Devin Galloway; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
