Carolyn Lee Howland

Carolyn Lee Howland, 70, of Wurtland, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. Carolyn was born April 21, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late William L. and Roxie Lee Hannah Elliott.

She was a loving mother who retired from working as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Carolyn enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and cat Sunny.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Howland.

She is survived by one son Mark (Sabrina) Howland of Hurricane, West Virginia; one brother Robert (Rita) Elliott of Flatwoods, Kentucky; and two grandchildren Samantha Webb and Michael Franklin II.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister John McKinney. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.
