Clyde Gaylord Keen

Clyde Gaylord Keen, 78, of Flatwoods, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 in King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Keen was born July 25, 1942 in Greenup, Kentucky a son of the late Clyde and Bertha (Hannah) Keen. He attended Russell First Baptist Church, was a Kentucky Colonel, and was a former Flatwoods City Councilman. He served on FIVA County Area Development District, was chair of the Board of Adjustment in Flatwoods, was a charter member of the Steven Salyers Charity Foundation, and was on the Board of Appalachian Foothills Housing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his son, Janet Keen, who he was married to for over 30 years.

He is survived by one son James (Summer Jobe) Michael Keen of Flatwoods, Kentucky

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Bellefonte Memorial Garden in Flatwoods, Kentucky by Bishop Rick Shelby. Due to Covid-19 masks are required.
