Danny George Leadingham
Danny George Leadingham, 74, of Argillite, Kentucky passed away June 12, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born June 27, 1949, in Argillite, Kentucky, a son of the late George and Gwendolyn Allen Leadingham. He was a 1967 graduate of the former Wurtland High School, retired from AK Steel, and worked as a carpenter. Danny was a United States Navy Vietnam War Veteran. In his free time, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family who he loved dearly. He was an avid fisherman and poker player.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Katie Sue “Susie” Carter Leadingham, one granddaughter Krista Danielle Leadingham and two brothers Amos Leadingham and Shannon Leadingham.
He is survived by two sons Alan (Denise) Leadingham of Argillite, Kentucky and Jason (Becky) Leadingham of Argillite, Kentucky; one brother Larry Leadingham of Hemp Hill, Texas; nine grandchildren Kailee Leadingham, Mandy Leadingham, Jessica Leadingham, Katie Leadingham, Karlie Leadingham, Kayla (Charlie) Coffey, McKenzie (Darrell) Christian, Alicen (Jacob) Harr, and Logan Leadingham; nine great grandchildren Giovanni, Dawson, Braxton, Madelynn, Carter, Aubrey, Reed, Riley, Mallory; family friend for 33 years and care giver Linda Douglas of Greenup, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Charles Green. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post #93, Kenova, West Virginia. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted with arrangements.
