Danny Lee Patton

Danny Lee Patton, 74, of Danleyton, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born on August 23, 1950, in Ironton, Ohio a son of the late Edgar “Buck” and Ivanell Tackett Patton.  He was a 1968 graduate of Wurtland High School, attended Brush Creek Freewill Baptist Church, and was retired from AK Steel. He was a founding member and former chief of Little Sandy Fire Department. Danny was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Debra Rayburn Patton; two daughters Dana (Randy) Ashley of Danleyton, Kentucky and Deanna (Wade) Thornsberry of Raceland, Kentucky; one brother Eddy Joe (Sonja) Patton of Eden, North Carolina; five grandchildren Brandi Ashley, Dustin Ashley, Christian, Trevor, and Cameron Thornsberry; special niece Denise Leadingham; and special cousin Connie Garvin who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Joseph Marshall. Burial will be in Whitt Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
