Delmar Ray Reffett Sr.

Delmar Ray Reffett Sr., 71, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at U.K. Health Care in Lexington, Kentucky. Delmar was born March 19, 1952, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Joe and Ella Thornsbury Reffett. He was a 1970 graduate of Wurtland High School and was retired from A.K. Steel. He attended Load Christian Baptist Church and had a great love for the Lord. He loved farming and raising cattle. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and football fan.  Delmar loved his sons dearly, they meant the world to him and his grandson was the light of his world.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Joe Reffett Jr. and a half-sister Lena Zahn.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Pamela Diane Barker Reffett; two sons Delmar Ray (Morgan) Reffett Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky and Aaron Tyler (Cynthia Kelly) Reffett of Greenup, Kentucky; one grandchild Robin Everett Adams-Reffett; and one niece Betty Jo (Brock) Smith of Ironton, Ohio, who was more like a daughter to him.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Danny Brown. Burial will be in Warnock Cemetery in Warnock, Kentucky.
