Douglas Elliott Wood Sr.

Douglas Elliott Wood Sr., 56, of Stout, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 29, 2024, at Southern Ohio Hospice Care in Portsmouth, Ohio. Douglas was born February 24, 1968, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Terry Wood Sr. and Linda George Wood of Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a 1986 graduate of Portsmouth High School.  He attended New Freedom Church in Piketon, Ohio and was very involved in the street ministry “Break Chains and Speak Lives”.  Douglas loved helping people in need. He was very loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by three brothers Timothy Johnson, Terry Wood Jr. and Shannon Wood.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Donelle Dennison Wood ;a son Douglas E. Wood Jr. of Portsmouth, Ohio; three step sons Jordan Dennison of Charleston, West Viriginia, Josh Payne and Andre Howard both of South Point, Ohio; three daughters Jodi Osborne of Portsmouth, Ohio, Amber (Corey) Wood Lindstrom of Columbus, Ohio and Heather (Mick) Wood of Portsmouth, Ohio; a brother Leslie (Michelle) Wood of Portsmouth, Ohio; a sister Christine Stevens of Portsmouth, Ohio; a very special friend and his sons Shawn Spencer and Cainen and Elijah Spencer of McDermott, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren Kayden, Kylee, Kameron, Jayvon, Armani, Ryelle, Julian, Harlow, Kinleigh, Kade, Emani, Jermya, and J.P.; several nieces and nephews.
