Eugene Dale Johnson Jr.

Eugene Dale Johnson Jr., 63, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family. Eugene was born January 31, 1960, a son of the late Eugene Dale Sr. and Elma Jane Brown Johnson. He was a member of the Portsmouth Flying Club, and an avid Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan, a Pittsburg Steelers fan, Jackie Boggs Racing fan, and NASCAR fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Wells Johnson.

He is survived by his significant other of 13 years Peggy Mullens Baker of South Shore, Kentucky

Peggy’s three sons, Steve Baker of Sarasota, Florida, Johnathon (Carissa) Frye of Denver, Colorado, and Scotty Frye of Wheelersburg, Ohio

Grandchildren Katelyn Smith and Sara Smith; special grandchild Ben Frye; nephew Casey (Maggie) Qualls; great niece Abbie Qualls; and great nephew Baylor Qualls.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister Dan Neal. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery in Greenup County, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
