Everett Earl Stapleton

Everett Earl Stapleton, 67, of Boyd, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his residence in Boyd, Kentucky. Everett was born March 12, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Ruford and Judy Bowling Stapleton. He was a member of the American Legion Post #93, Kenova, West, Virginia. He loved to play chess and watch Star Trek. He was an online tutor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Kenny Sloas and one sister Jeanie Layne.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sharon Horsley Stapleton; one son David (Joanie) Stapleton of Flatwoods, Kentucky; three daughters Amanda (Adam) Bowen of Crown City, Ohio, Amber Stapleton of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Andrea (Derek Duffy) Bowen of Westwood, Kentucky; one sister Sandi Boyd of Grayson, Kentucky; ten grandchildren Rachel Grimm, Austin (Dara) Tackett, Victoria (James) Mallott, Wyatt Bowen, Jordan Bowen, Olivia Stapleton, Eli Bowen, Taylor Grimm, Mac Grimm, and Alyssa Bowen; and one great granddaughter Everlyn Mallot.

Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Zornes Cemetery in Wurtland, Kentucky. Military rites will be conducted by Kenova V.F.W. Post # 93.
