James Freddie Rhoden



James Freddie Rhoden, 65, of Worthington, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Fred was born December 14, 1958, in Lawrence County, Ohio, a son of the late Woody and Edith Grubb Medley. Fred was a Sons member of the Raceland American Legion Post 43. He was a carpenter and did odd jobs for people.  He loved to hunt, fish and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed shooting pool with his good friends and his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and family.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers Kenneth Rhoden, Clyde Rhoden, Bill Rhoden, Mike Rhoden, Jay Rhoden and Woody David Medley; two sisters Kathy Horsley and Linda Rhoden.

 

He is survived by his loving daughter Jamie (Brandon) Gray of Worthington; a son Bobby Litteral of Wurtland, Kentucky; two brothers Jeff (Terri) Rhoden of Argillite, Kentucky and Wayne Rhoden of Columbus, Ohio; one sister Regina Deaton of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren Caydance Gray, Jeri Gray, and Jenna Gray; really good friends Jeff Cochran of Worthington, Kentucky, Ronnie French of Raceland, Kentucky, Carl “Jr” Williamson of Raceland, Kentucky, Kenny and Trish Belford of Greenup, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, and family who will miss him dearly.

 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup Kentucky by Bro. Jerry Gray. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
