James Joseph Hassler

James Joseph Hassler, 68, of Raceland, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family. James was born September 10, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, a son of Joyce Hermann Hassler of Buffalo, New York and the late Joseph Harold Hassler. He was a retired welder with Marathon in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. He was a wonderful husband, son, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend. He loved his family dearly. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Rebecca Hassler. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Eileen Moriarity Hassler; a son Joseph (Brittany) Hassler of South Shore, Kentucky; a daughter Sharon (Cody) Bates of Raceland, Kentucky; a brother Tim (Debbie) Hassler of Russell, Kentucky; three grandchildren Charlie Bates, Harley Hassler and Haisley Hassler; several nieces, nephews and great friends. There are no services at this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice Care, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
