Joyce Lynn Cantrell

Joyce Lynn Cantrell, 64, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her residence in Argillite, Kentucky. Joyce was born June 2, 1959, in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Frances Ruth Martin Rose and the late Robert E. Stepp. She was a member of Old Sand Gap United Baptist Church and a 1977 graduate of Greenup County High School. She was known to her grandkids and many others as “Mammy”. She was the definition of a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers, birds, and porch sitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter Gracie Lynn Cantrell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Kenneth Cantrell; one son Bryan (Tonya) Cantrell of Argillite, Kentucky; two brothers Robert (Velvet) Stepp of Argillite, Kentucky and Harold (Lisa) Stepp of Wurtland, Kentucky; two sisters Rhonda Zegelien of Argillite, Kentucky and Betty (Jerry) Melvin Flatwoods, Kentucky; two grandchildren Faith Cantrell and Dylan Cantrell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Elder Perry Moore, Elder Jeff Carroll, and Elder Frank Blevins. Burial will be in Stepp Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Sunday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
