Loretta Ruth Davis

Loretta Ruth Davis, 69, of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Loretta was born December 18, 1954, in South Shore, Kentucky a daughter of the late Charlie and Rachel Collier Nelson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Davis; a daughter Roberta 'Missy" Layne; a brother Billy Gene Sparks; two sisters Joann Brown and Mary Sue Hamilton.

She is survived by two sons Matthew (Chanda) Davis of Vanceburg, Kentucky and Robert (Tereza Gleason) Davis of Greenup, Kentucky; five grandchildren Isaac Davis, Kylee Davis, Matthew (Alissa) Davis Jr., Cameron Davis and Trevor Davis; three great-grandchildren Payton Davis, Gabriel Davis and Zadie Davis; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, January 12, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup.  Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
