Naomi Carol Meadows

Naomi Carol Meadows, 85, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at UK Health Care in Lexington, Kentucky. Naomi was born February 26, 1938, in York, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Harley Andrew Quillen and Garnett Louise Darnell.

Naomi was a graduate of the former Greenup High School and was a former dietician at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland, Kentucky. She loved researching her family tree genealogy and collecting family photographs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Travis Boyd Thursby and a brother Arnold “Bud” Quillen.

She is survived by a son Barry Johnson of Greenup, Kentucky; two daughters; Johnda Meadows of Georgetown, Kentucky and Lori (Bill) Stivers of Frankfort, Kentucky and a brother Paul Lee Quillen of Flatwoods, Kentucky; five grandchildren; Shannon Sizemore, Brandi Ratliff, Myrissa Ritter, Vanessa Thursby and Kyle Stivers; seven great-grandchildren; a host nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister Scott Robinson. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com
