Paul Edmund Poplin
Paul Edmund Poplin, 83, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Sanctuary of Ohio Valley in Ironton, Ohio. Mr. Poplin was born March 16, 1938, a son of the late Foster and Gertrude Harris Poplin. He was a member of the Nazarene Church of Argillite. He talked often throughout his life about going to be with God one day and walking the streets of gold. He was a man of God, and he was ready to walk with God. Paul loved his family and had a great love for farming and farm life. He spoke often of his childhood farming days. He was a man who loved to work with his hands and loved woodworking and working on cars or anything mechanical. He was a United States Marine Veteran of which he was extremely proud of. He loved a good debate about anything and everything and was as stubborn as a mule. He had a great sense of humor, but he was a man of simpler times. He will be greatly missed by so many. We take great pride in the man he was. We know he now walks the streets of gold.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jones Poplin; one son Timothy Poplin; two brothers Delmas “Bud” Poplin and Rocky Poplin; and one sister Pat Walker.
