Peter L. Kee

Peter L. Kee, 80, of Oldtown, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Kee was born May 23, 1940 in Charlotte Furnace, Kentucky a son of the late Charles Franklin and Hallie Blevins Kee. This distinguished gentleman began his career with Southern States in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, where he served as manager, before opening Kee’s Farm Service in Greenup, Kentucky, in 1972, and in Grayson Kentucky, in 1988. In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Kee is a lifelong farmer; has been a member of the Bellefonte Hospital Board, the Extension Board, the Southern States Insurance Exchange Board and the State Health Board in Frankfort; and has worked with the Greenup County Fair Board. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and was a 1959 graduate of Wurtland High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Bonnie Horton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Hannah Cox Kee

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Chris Bellew. Burial will be in Oldtown Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and two hours before the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
