Rebecca Mae Muncy

Rebecca Mae Muncy, 91, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 29, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born March 6, 1933, in Newhall, West Virginia, a daughter of the late David Preston and Jennie Agnes Brewster Baldwin. She was a member of Argillite Nazarene Church in Argillite, Kentucky. She enjoyed planting and taking care of flowers, making cards for family members, and cooking. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Earl Muncy; four brothers Albert Baldwin, Arthur Baldwin, Andrew Baldwin, and Fred Baldwin; and four sisters Mary Bauguess, Izona Simpson, Llewellyn Tannery, and Jacqueline Baldwin.

She is survived by four daughters Linda (Dave) Robinette Daugherty of Lost Creek, West Virginia, Diana (Raymond) Holliday of Clemmons, North Carolina, Deborah (Charles) Acord of Argillite, Kentucky, and Mary Muncy of Argillite, Kentucky; two sisters Bernice Gillespie of Elkin, North Carolina and Lucille Weaver of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great- great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; and several family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Jim Harris and Bro. David Poplin. Burial will be in Stepp Family Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
