Rondal Edward Skaggs

Rondal Edward Skaggs, 66, of Chillicothe, Ohio, formerly of York, Kentucky passed away, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio after a long decline of his health. Rondal was born May 17, 1956, in York, Kentucky a son of the late James and Mary Bellamy Skaggs. Rondal was a 1974 graduate of Greenup County High School and was a United States Army Veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Tabitha McNeely; two sisters Delores Hoag and Kathy Stone.

He is survived by a daughter Brandy Skaggs of Lancaster, Ohio; seven brothers James Skaggs of Marion, Ohio, Lester Skaggs of Load, Kentucky, Vernon (Judith) Skaggs of Blacklick, Ohio, Darrell Skaggs of Rodnor, Ohio, Earl Skaggs of York, Kentucky, Roger Skaggs of York, Kentucky, and Terry Skaggs of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; two sisters Linda Sikorski of Boca Raton, Florida and Rebecca (Leonardo) Castillo of Mobile, Alabama; two grandchildren Bryson and Alyssa; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers Jim Skaggs, Vernon Skaggs, Darrel Skaggs, Andrew Hoag, and D.J. Skaggs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Bro. Ezra Burton. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East. Military rites will be performed by Lt. Col Vance Houston Detachment #1345 Department of Kentucky Marine Corps League. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
