Ronnie Wampler

Ronnie Wampler, 82, of New Boston, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Portsmouth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born July 31, 1942, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Robert and Elsie Moore Wampler.

He graduated from the former McKell High School in 1960, pursued barbering for a time after attending Barber School, was a Kentucky Colonial and a horse trader.  He was a member of the Harrison Fullerton Masonic Lodge #937 in South Shore, Kentucky. He was a former employee of Detroit Steel Mill in New Boston, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Glenn Wampler.

He is survived by two sons Robert T. (Norma) Wampler of South Shore, Kentucky and Ronnie Scott (Michelle) Wampler of Lloyd, Kentucky; five grandchildren Alex (Anthony) Pelfrey, Bo Wampler, Alyssa Wampler, Joe Wampler, and Ty Wampler; and eight great grandchildren A.J., Cohen, Ella, Ryker, Emily, Ayla, Axton, Promise; the mother of his sons and wonderful caregiver Carol Schweinsberg Wampler of Portsmouth, Ohio.
