William "Gene" Eugene Brown

William “Gene” Eugene Brown, 74, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 1, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Brown was born March 7, 1948, in Greenup, Kentucky a son of the late William “Billie” Patrick and Nora Bates Brown. He was a 1966 graduate of the former McKell High School, a member of Brick Union Christian Church in Lloyd, Kentucky, and was the first fire chief for Lloyd Volunteer Fire Department. William was a United States Air Force Veteran and was a member and past Master of Greenup Masonic Lodge #89.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Alice Holbrook Brown; one son Hillard (Missy) Brown of Lloyd, Kentucky; one daughter Alicia Michelle Brown of Flatwoods, Kentucky; two brothers Kenny (Dianna) Brown of Greenup, Kentucky and Rick Brown of Lloyd, Kentucky; two grandchildren Ashley Dawn Brown and Aaron Patrick Brown.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky.
